Welcome home again!
Welcome at your “Altstadtnest” in Wernigerode- our thoroughly looked after apartments are located in a road right in the heart of the old town. The house which you see above was built in the 17th century and therefore has many stories to tell!
Please come on a discovery trip and enjoy our beautiful Wernigerode. There is so much to see and explore, e.g. the picturesque Gothic town hall, the medieval castle, the wonderfully old half- timbered houses just to mention a few.
From here you can go on daily trips into the “Upper Harz” and surrounding areas.( e.g the “Brocken“, the highest mountain, the only way up is taking the old steam train or hiking, or a bit of both )
Although you are living directly in the center of the town quarter, you are not far away from nature with plenty of forest.
Many sights and adventures are awaiting you!
And best of all, you can leave your car behind and reach everything by foot or public transport (most of it is free of charge with the “Harz “travel card)
The train and bus station is located just 15 min walking distance from the apartments.
And as you are already in the heart of the town quarter, you will walk to the famous market square within minutes. Supermarkets, shops and the many cafes and bakeries are literally on your doorstep.
If you wish we can give you useful tips of what to do in and around Wernigerode - because it’s our home town - we are from here.
We offer 3 self catering apartments of different sizes.
